ABOUT THE ROLE

We're hiring a Performance Marketing Manager to own paid acquisition across Google, Meta, and LinkedIn. You'll run and scale the paid engine behind our consumer business, where people come to Leland to get into school, land the job, or build real skills with AI. You'll also help us build paid for B2B from close to the ground up, starting with the AI Builder Program for teams and companies and eventually extending to our university partners and other AI offerings that growing at Leland. You'll be in the accounts every day, and you'll use Claude and other AI tools to run more channels and more tests than one person normally could. WHAT YOU'LL DO

OWN PAID ACQUISITION FOR OUR CONSUMER BUSINESS

• Run Google (Search, PMax, YouTube), Meta, and LinkedIn day to day, including budgets, bidding, targeting, creative rotation, and reporting

• Manage spend across our core consumer categories and develop a clear point of view on where the next dollar should go

• Hit CAC and payback targets, and flag early and honestly when something isn't working, and also help us refine which metrics are most important to track at various points of the funnel

• Run a steady stream of structured tests across audiences, offers, landing pages, and creative, and document what you learn so the team gets smarter over time

• Partner daily with channel and business unit owners so paid supports the full buyer journey, from first touch to purchase or closed deal

BUILD PAID FOR B2B

• Continue to develop the early stage of our B2B paid motion, starting with Google and LinkedIn and Meta, to generate pipeline for the AI Builder Program's team and enterprise offering

• Partner with sales and AI Programs marketing on ICP, target account lists, lead magnets, and the handoff from lead to booked meeting

• Refine how paid can support our university business as it grows

• Build reporting that ties spend to pipeline and closed revenue, not just form fills, signups or clicks

MAKE THE CHANNEL AI-NATIVE

• Use Claude and other tools to automate repetitive portions of the job: pulling reports, catching anomalies, drafting ad variations, building audiences, and QA'ing campaigns

• Get the most out of each platform's built-in automation and AI capabilities while knowing when to take the wheel back

• Build systems and documentation so the channel doesn't live only in your head but has shared context across marketing, with insights disseminating to Leland broadly

• Work closely with our content and creative team (or contractors) to keep a healthy pipeline of ad creative, and give them clear, specific feedback on what's performing

ABOUT YOU

• 5–7 years of hands-on performance marketing experience, with direct ownership of meaningful budgets on Google, Meta, and LinkedIn

• Experience on both sides is a plus: you've driven consumer purchases and you've built pipeline for a sales-led B2B product

• Strong with data and comfortable in the ad platforms, GA4, with experience in Databricks as a plus. You understand attribution, lift testing and have opinions and experience on pitfalls to avoid

• Already using AI in your daily workflow and have built real things with it, like automations, scripts, skills, or agents; you'd rather automate your own busywork than do it by hand

• A systems thinker who builds processes that hold up as spend and channel count grow

• Direct communicator who gives an honest read on performance, good or bad

• Bonus: experience in edtech, marketplaces, AI enablement or selling to L&D or university buyers
