Your New Role

• Work as an HVAC Sales Consultant serving homeowners throughout Manhattan and the New York City boroughs

• Own the residential HVAC sales cycle from initial inquiry and qualification through consultation, proposal, closing, and installation handoff

• Respond promptly to warm inbound leads by phone, email, and text

• Qualify residential heating and cooling opportunities and determine whether to close remotely or schedule an in-home consultation

• Conduct in-home HVAC consultations, assess customer comfort concerns, evaluate the property, and understand budget requirements

• Recommend appropriate heating and cooling solutions, including heat pumps, ductless systems, VRF, geothermal, and high-efficiency HVAC equipment

• Create clear and accurate HVAC replacement and installation proposals with multiple system options

• Explain system choices, financing programs, rebates, tax credits, and available incentives in straightforward language

• Use consultative sales and closing techniques to help homeowners select an HVAC solution

• Maintain consistent follow-up on open estimates, previous quotes, replacement opportunities, and customer inquiries

• Keep customer records, sales opportunities, and pipeline activity accurate and current in ServiceTitan CRM

• Partner with HVAC installation and operations teams to provide accurate job handoffs and set clear customer expectations

• Stay engaged through installation to support a strong customer experience and referral opportunities

• Identify HVAC replacement and system upgrade opportunities among existing service customers

• Track and manage key sales metrics, including lead response time, close rate, average ticket, and pipeline performance

• 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in residential or in-home sales such as HVAC, solar, roofing, windows, home improvement, or related home services

• Demonstrated experience closing sales in a commission-driven environment

• Comfortable working under a performance-based compensation structure

• HVAC, heating, cooling, heat pump, or home-comfort product knowledge preferred but not required for candidates with relevant sales experience and the ability to learn

• Strong consultative selling, communication, presentation, and closing skills

• Ability to explain technical HVAC products and options clearly to homeowners

• Strong organization, time management, pipeline management, and customer follow-up skills

• CRM experience preferred, with ServiceTitan experience considered a plus

• Ability to work some evenings and weekends based on homeowner availability

• Valid driver's license and ability to meet applicable company vehicle and insurance requirements for job-related travel

• Ability to travel to customer locations throughout Manhattan and the NYC boroughs

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members and complete the written and verbal communication required for the position
