Estate Planning Attorney

Cordell & Cordell is seeking an experienced full-time Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration attorney.

Some flexibility in schedule and daily location is available; daily in-office presence is generally required because of regular client consults and document signings.

Job Description: Your role of Attorney would include the following:

• Perform initial consultations with clients and perform subsequent management of caseload generated by same.

• Draft estate planning documents for wide net worth variance of clients.

• Represent clients in cases filed in probate court in various Missouri  jurisdictions.

• Provide superior representation to all clients including monthly status reports and weekly reviews of files.

Required Experience:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited university

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

• 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney; experience as a trust officer may be considered.

• Experience drafting estate planning documents, probate, trust administration.

• Ability to quickly learn new technical programs and software.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with trust and probate litigation

• Experience representing clients for guardianship and conservatorship applications.

• Experience planning for high or ultra-high net worth clients and general taxation experience / knowledge

• Experience with Medicaid asset planning

• Additional license in MO and existing book of business is a plus.
