Position Overview

We are seeking a HR Generalist – Health & Safety (PRL) Specialist to join our HR team in Gavà, Spain. This role combines core Human Resources responsibilities with a strong focus on Occupational Health & Safety (PRL), ensuring compliance with local regulations, supporting employees throughout the employment lifecycle, and maintaining efficient HR operations. The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for Health & Safety matters while contributing to HR administration, employee support, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This position reports directly to the HR Manager, Europe .

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Health & Safety (PRL) activities to ensure legal compliance, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Implement, maintain, and update the company's Prevention Plan and occupational health and safety procedures.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Health & Safety legislation and internal standards.

• Manage the relationship and coordination with the external Occupational Risk Prevention provider.

• Support and coordinate internal PRL committees and Health & Safety representatives.

• Organize and monitor mandatory Health & Safety training programs for employees and new hires.

• Coordinate annual employee health check programs.

• Manage Contractor Activities Coordination (CAE) processes and ensure compliance with legal documentation and safety requirements.

• Coordinate machinery documentation, inspections, and maintenance records in collaboration with operational teams.

• Monitor employee timekeeping and attendance records, reviewing and approving working hours as required.

• Generate and maintain monthly time and attendance reports.

• Collaborate with HRIS providers to improve system functionality, reporting capabilities, and process efficiency.

• Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases, and documentation in accordance with data privacy requirements.

• Support onboarding activities, including orientation, benefits enrollment, training assignments, and HR documentation.

• Respond to employee inquiries related to company policies, benefits, absences, and HR procedures.

• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy of HR information and documentation.

• Support additional HR operational projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Formal training or certification in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL), Health & Safety, or a related discipline.

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety (PRL), or a related field.

• Experience coordinating Health & Safety compliance activities and prevention programs.

• Previous experience within multinational, engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or production environments is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Spanish labor legislation and employment compliance requirements.

• Knowledge of Contractor Activities Coordination (CAE) regulations and experience using CAE management platforms.

• Experience working with HRIS and workforce management systems.

• Experience supporting audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and HR reporting experience.

• Experience in fast-growing or highly dynamic organizations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work full-time in an onsite office environment in Gavà, Spain.

• Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods.

• Ability to participate in workplace inspections, audits, and meetings across office and operational areas.

• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and external providers both in person and virtually.
